Our government stands in solidarity with Iranians and women around the world who are rightfully denouncing the death of Mahsa and are exercising their right to peacefully protest.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth Marci Ien, and Parliamentary Secretary Jenna Sudds joined the Prime Minister's Youth Council for their first in-person meeting since the start of the pandemic. Jenna Sudds led discussions amongst the Youth Council on protecting Canadians’ reproductive rights and fighting period poverty among youth.
