Today, Minister Champagne announced that GM is investing over $2 billion to secure thousands of good, well-paying jobs and to launch Canada’s first full-scale commercial electric vehicle production facility. As a fellow electric vehicle driver, this is such an exciting announcement for Canada — and for Canada’s environment!
The automotive sector contributes $16 billion to Canada’s gross domestic product and is one of the country’s largest export industries. Additionally, this sector supports the employment of nearly 500,000 Canadians
