Honouring Our Local Heroes – King Charles Coronation Medal Awards
Every morning, I wake up proud to be Canadian, and proud to call Kanata home. This past weekend I felt that pride more than ever when we celebrated extraordinary individuals who embody the heart and spirit of our community.
Whether through acts of bravery, strengthening our communities, or supporting the most vulnerable, I had the pleasure of recognizing 34 deserving individuals with the King Charles III Coronation Medal for their meaningful impact.
This medal was created to mark King Charles’ III Coronation. It’s a way of recognizing outstanding individuals of all ages and from all walks of life who’ve made a difference in their community, to the country or who have attained an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada.
