2024 Year in Review
I’ve always believed in Kanata. I’ve got deep roots here. I’ve built my career here. And I’ve raised my three daughters here. If there’s one thing Kanata has taught me it’s that community is a way of life. It’s what motivated me to run for public office. As your member of Parliament, I’ve never lost sight of this. I’ve fought to bring us the things that make our community and economy stronger and our families better off.
2024 was a challenging year for many – it motivated me to get down to work and deliver more for you, and for our community. Whether that be attracting investments in jobs and growing our local economy, in affordable housing or in programs that lower costs for families and seniors.
Below are some of the highlights from 2024:
Investments in Industry:
$124,100,000+ invested in Kanata tech through the Strategic Innovation Fund to create jobs and drive world class Canadian innovation.

$1,074,843+ to create 300 jobs for youth at over 100 Kanata—Carleton businesses and organizations this summer.
