Hub350 Grand Opening in the Kanata North Technology Park

It was my pleasure to visit the Kanata North Technology Park today to celebrate the opening of Hub350, a brand new ecosystem for industry, academic, and finance partners to co-exist and collaborate in the heart of Kanata North. Congratulations to Jamie Petten and the Kanata North Business Association team on turning your vision into reality!

I’ve said it many times, and I’ll say it again: #SeriousTechLivesHere in Kanata North, and today served as a reminder that this is really just the beginning! I have no doubt that the Kanata North Tech Park, Canada’s largest technology park, will continue its trajectory of exceptional success.

Before representing our community at the federal level, I served as the City Councillor for Kanata North and was the Founding President and Executive Director of the Kanata North Business Association. From these roles I’ve been able to watch this technology park grow from a network of businesses into the complete and connected community that it is today.

Hub350 is one of many steps towards making the surrounding Kanata community a place to live, work, play, and learn. Our proximity to post-secondary institutions like Carleton University and uOttawa creates a natural Kanata-bound pipeline of academic talent.

Attracting these young professionals, maintaining that pipeline, and building a tech talent pool will only be made easier by Hub350.

Here in Kanata, there’s no shortage of new opportunities for development, growth, and experiential learning, especially for those interested in 5G technology. With the federal government looking to build a made-in-Canada 5G technology network, the Kanata North Technology Park and Hub350 will be at the forefront of this network technology revolution.

Through Hub350, the tech park and its resident world-class digital tech companies will be guided and fueled by Canada’s fastest 5G network.

The future of tech in Kanata North is more promising than ever. As both your Member of Parliament and an avid tech enthusiast, I cannot wait to see what comes next!
