Newsletter - October 2025
It’s been a busy and rewarding few weeks both in our community and on Parliament Hill — from visiting incredible local businesses and attending community events to officially launching my Kanata Youth Council. It’s inspiring to see so many young people eager to get involved and make a difference.
New Constituency Office Address
A heads up that my constituency team is moving offices. As of November 3, 2025, you can find us at 505 March Rd, Suite 210, Kanata, Ontario, K2K 2M5. Email and phone number stay the same: (613) 592-3469, jenna.sudds@parl.gc.ca.
It’s Time to Build!
Far too many Canadians are struggling to find homes they can afford. That’s why our government is stepping up with bold new investments to increase housing supply and make homes more affordable.
On October 14, I was thrilled to announce over $136 million in federal support — delivering 316 new rental homes at 1350 Fisher Avenue in Ottawa. I was proud to be joined by my colleagues Yasir Naqvi and Anita Vandenbeld as we take another step to tackle the housing crisis.
Driving Innovation Forward
Dream big — because this is where innovation happens! I was happy to attend the launch of the Kanata North Smart Shuttle, Canada’s first all-season, medium-speed autonomous shuttle — a remarkable milestone in smart mobility and sustainable transportation, right here at home in the Kanata North tech park! Proud that our government supported this project with $1.4 million in funding to help make it a reality.
Federal High Tech Council Tour of Kanata North
On October 24, I had the privilege of hosting several Liberal Members of Parliament for a tour of Canada’s largest tech park right here in Kanata. It was inspiring to see MPs engage directly with the people and companies driving Canada’s innovation economy. From AI to clean tech, cybersecurity to semiconductors, the energy and ambition in this community never cease to amaze me.
We had great conversations about how government and industry can continue to work together to support growth, attract global talent, and keep Canada at the forefront of technology and innovation.
I’m so proud of the people and companies in our tech park and was so thrilled to share it with my colleagues.
Thank you to the visiting MPs for taking the time to listen, learn, and champion Canadian innovation. Thank you to the Kanata North Business Association and all of the companies that opened your doors for us.
AI Roundtable
It was a pleasure to host Minister of AI and Digital Innovation, Evan Solomon in Canada’s largest tech park. We brought together some of the incredible tech leaders to discuss how Canada can accelerate the responsible use of AI across every sector — driving productivity, trust, job creation, and AI for all.
Our Kanata companies are leading the way, developing world-class tech and showing how collaboration between government and industry is helping to build a stronger, smarter, and more inclusive digital future for Canada.
Other Industry Visits and Highlights
On October 23, we celebrated the grand opening of Solink's new headquarters right here in the Kanata North technology park, joined by Minister of AI and Digital Innovation, Evan Solomon. Solink's journey is a true homegrown success story — growing from about 20 employees when I first connected with the team a decade ago to now over 400 strong! Their story is one of innovation, collaboration, and deep community roots, showing what’s possible when local talent and vision come together.
I had the pleasure of welcoming InPho, Ranovus, and C2MI to Parliament Hill for meetings and to present at the Prime Minister’s Economic Caucus. These innovative companies are helping position Canada as a leader in the global semiconductor ecosystem — driving technological advancement, creating high-quality jobs, and strengthening our country’s economic resilience.
Amazing visit with Wind River — one of the many hidden gems in the Kanata North Tech Park doing inspiring work, leading the way with world-class software innovation, and creating great career opportunities right here in our community.
Great to visit the team at Solace to see how their real-time data and cloud technologies are powering AI, digital transformation, and some of the world’s most connected systems. It’s truly inspiring to see their continued dominance and growth in their field.
Incredible to visit BWXT Medical and see firsthand the life-saving innovation happening right here in our community! Their work producing medical isotopes is advancing cancer treatment and imaging — making a real difference for patients in Canada and around the world.
Community Events
It was an honour to welcome 95 new Canadians at a Citizenship Ceremony hosted at Maurice-Lapointe École Élémentaire et Secondaire Publique in celebration of Women’s History Month. It is always a pleasure to be part of these meaningful moments that remind us what it means to call Canada home.
Great to join this year's Kanata Expo 55+ event, a wonderful opportunity for local organizations to showcase the programs and services that support seniors in our community.
Congratulations to the team at the Kanata Food Cupboard, along with all event partners and volunteers, on hosting a wonderful and successful Kanata Bites & Delights fundraiser! It was truly an evening of great food, great company, and giving back — with all proceeds supporting the Kanata Food Cupboard’s School Snacks Program.
I’m looking forward to this year’s Kanata Santa Claus Parade on November 22nd starting at 10 am. To learn more, register a float, or sign up to volunteer, visit KanataSantaParade.com.
