COVID-19 Entry Restrictions Lifted
As of October 1st, all COVID-19 entry restrictions, as well as testing, quarantine, and isolation requirements for anyone entering Canada have been lifted. Masks will also no longer be required on transportation systems, including airplanes and in airport arrival areas.
New Sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran
These sanctions are in response to gross human rights violations that have been committed in Iran, including its systematic persecution of women and in particular, the egregious actions committed by Iran's so-called 'Morality Police,' which led to the death of Mahsa Amini while under their custody.
Public Consultation on Ontario Riding Redistribution Process
The Constitution of Canada requires that federal electoral districts be reviewed after each decennial census to reflect changes and movements in Canada's population. The redistribution process is independent and non-partisan.

Jenna Sudds meets with Prime Minister’s Youth Council
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth Marci Ien, and Parliamentary Secretary Jenna Sudds joined the Prime Minister's Youth Council for their first in-person meeting since the start of the pandemic.
Jenna Sudds led discussions amongst the Youth Council on protecting Canadians’ reproductive rights and fighting period poverty among youth.
Compensation for Canadian victims of Western Union fraud
Any Canadian victim who was defrauded and sent their money through Western Union between January 1, 2004, and January 19, 2017, should apply now to get their money back if they have not already filed a claim.
The deadline for file a claim is August 31, 2022.

Fertilizer Emissions Reduction Targets
LONGFIELD: This depiction of climate action as a polarizing choice between the livelihoods of farm families and reducing emissions is not only inaccurate, it also distracts from the important conversation that the ongoing consultation is attempting to have.
Equally important is hearing from the industry on how emissions can be accurately monitored without burdening farmers with additional paperwork and increased reporting requirements.
Supreme Court of Canada dismisses ClubLink development appeal
I know this dismissal comes as a disappointment to Kanata residents—many of whom were hoping that the Supreme Court would provide final arbitration and prevent ClubLink’s development of our cherished greenspace. I share in this disappointment.
Supporting community responses to the outbreak of Monkeypox
Today, Jenna Sudds, Parliamentary Secretary for Women, Gender Equality and Youth, announced $100,000 in funding to MAX Ottawa, a community-based organization focused on the health of gay and bisexual men.
This funding is being provided through the HIV and Hepatitis C Community Action Fund to help those currently most impacted by the outbreak of MPOX.
