Vaccine requirements suspending on June 20
Effective June 20th, vaccination will no longer be a requirement to board a plane or train in Canada.
Other public health measures, such as wearing a mask, continue to apply and will be enforced throughout a traveller’s journey on a plane or train.

Implementing $10-a-day childcare
On March 28, 2022, our government announced an agreement with the Province of Ontario that will deliver high-quality, affordable, flexible and inclusive child care for families.
Since then, Ontario is still in the process of developing their provincial childcare system and will be implementing it through their municipalities.
Tougher gun laws for safer communities
To address rising handgun violence, our government is implementing a national freeze on handguns to prevent individuals from bringing newly acquired handguns into Canada and from buying, selling, and transferring handguns within the country.

Passport Canada Service Update
With the easing of public health restrictions and Canadians resuming their travels, Service Canada is now experiencing a large increase in demand for passports. This has resulted in lineups and longer than normal wait times for in-person service.

When our government invoked the Emergencies Act to help end the illegal blockades and get our country moving again, we committed to Canadians that we’d be upfront and transparent about it.
