New Omicron Variant Travel Measures
With the emergence of the Omicron variant of concern, we are taking swift action to protect Canadians. This includes strengthening our testing and quarantine requirements at the border and working with public health to better understand Canada’s epidemiological situation.
Bill C-4: Banning Conversion Therapy
We’re committed to fighting discrimination in all its forms and standing up for LGBTQ2 communities by completing the ban on conversion therapy through Bill C-4.

Today is an incredibly sad and frustrating day for our community. I have just learned that the Ontario Court of Appeal decision has been released and sadly has ruled in favour of ClubLink. I know this is not what our community was wishing for.
Call for Proposals: New Horizons for Seniors Program
On November 23, 2021, the Government of Canada will launch the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) 2021-2022 call for proposals (CFP) for community-based projects across Canada.
Health Canada Authorizes First COVID-19 Vaccine for Kids
Health Canada has authorized the first COVID-19 vaccine for children, giving the regulatory green light to Pfizer-BioNTech’s two-dose vaccine. Children ages five to 11 are now eligible to receive this vaccine, in a smaller dosage than has been offered to those ages 12 and above.
$10-a-day childcare for families in Alberta
Our government has laid out a plan to provide Canadian parents with, on average, $10‑a‑day child care spaces for children under six years old.

Our government recently filed for judicial review of the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal due to jurisdictional issues with the Tribunal’s findings. We’re working directly with First Nations parties to resolve this, out of court, to ensure fair compensation.
Mandatory Vaccination in the Federally Regulated Transportation Sectors
Effective at 3 AM (EDT) on October 30, 2021, all travellers 12 years of age plus four months flying on domestic or international flights departing from Canada, as well as passengers on VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains, will need to show proof of vaccination to travel.
Hub350 Grand Opening in the Kanata North Technology Park

Parliament to Return on November 22
It's been a busy and exciting few weeks since Election Day. My days are filled with training, getting my office set up, hiring my team, preparing for the House to sit in November, and working on resident issues.
