Community Services Recovery Fund
Nearly 5,500 projects across Canada are being funded under the Community Services Recovery Fund. In Kanata—Carleton, nine organizations are receiving federal funding, with a total of $1.4 million invested in our community.

Building 306 new rental units on Kanata Avenue
Located at 180 Kanata, this project is a six-storey mixed-use building containing 306 residential units as well as a coffee shop, a restaurant, and a gym. The building will have a rooftop terrace that overlooks the rear yard, a community garden and solar panels. Kanata Woods, expected to be complete by the winter of 2024, received $127 million through RCFi.

NEWS: Canada to match donations for humanitarian response in Gaza and West Bank
Today, the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of International Development, announced that the Government of Canada will match donations made to the Humanitarian Coalition’s Gaza Humanitarian Emergency Appeal.
Every donation made by individuals to the Humanitarian Coalition and its members retroactively from October 7, 2023, until November 12, 2023, will be matched, up to a maximum of $10 million.
