Key measures include: progress on reducing inflation, building more housing, strengthening competition in our economy, making groceries more affordable, improving Canadians’ user experiences with banks and financial accounts, removing GST on psychotherapy and mental health counselling, and more.

Nearly 5,500 projects across Canada are being funded under the Community Services Recovery Fund. In Kanata—Carleton, nine organizations are receiving federal funding, with a total of $1.4 million invested in our community.

Located at 180 Kanata, this project is a six-storey mixed-use building containing 306 residential units as well as a coffee shop, a restaurant, and a gym. Today, the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of International Development, announced that the Government of Canada will match donations made to the Humanitarian Coalition’s Gaza Humanitarian Emergency Appeal.

Every donation made by individuals to the Humanitarian Coalition and its members retroactively from October 7, 2023, until November 12, 2023, will be matched, up to a maximum of $10 million.
